Key Truck & Car did well in taking top National Dealer and Departmental Honours in the most recent Isuzu Motors of South Africa Dealer Awards event recently held in the Cape Town Convention Centre.
The Isuzu Samurai Sho program measures Isuzu Dealers on multiple aspects of Franchised Dealer Performance, from Sales, Aftersales, Parts and Dealer Development. These pillars of the scorecard have different points values and the winner is chosen by the highest points achieved on the scorecard.
Isuzu make exceptional trucks that demand exceptional behaviour. But it is more than winning just one competition – it is management’s challenge to lead the company into sustainable competitive advantage.
While winning confers measurable benefits on the Key Dealers winners, it is Key Truck & Car customers who are the ultimate front-beneficiaries of Key Truck & Car customer care.
Four of these national winners (67% of the winner group) are service-oriented, reinforcing the statement from Craig Uren Isuzu Senior Vice President of Revenue Generation: “Isuzu is a service organization that also sells a comprehensive range of trucks and bakkies.”
Uren adds: “The global economy is very volatile, energy prices in particular impacting on our local SA economy. We cannot look forward to economic growth for sustainability. The theme for this and our April financial year is to do more with less. We have been truck brand leaders for more than 10 years – the challenge is to achieve this and increase profitability in a flatline market.”
